Bitumen 60/90 is classified by BND (road bitumen) and BN (petroleum bitumen). Letters BND means "road bitumen", numbers-fraction 40/60, 60/90, etc.
indicate the permissible limits of the grade indices of the depth of penetration of a standard needle at 25 ° C, characterizing indirectly the viscosity of bitumen. Bitumen of the grade BND have a good adhesion to the different stone materials and a high flexibility at low temperatures, resistant to climatic influences. Specifications of viscous petroleum bitumen are standard according to GOST 22245-90.
BS group Bitumen Grade 60/90 is a standard penetration grade Bitumen usually used as a paving Bitumen suitable for road construction and other industrial purposes. This grade of Bitumen is mainly used for hot mix especially in moderate climate.

Applications
Bitumen BND 60/90 is used to impregnate the macadam road in regions with warm climate, for preparation of hot asphalt and bituminous mixtures in regions with warm climate. Also it can be used for producing some kind of asphalt primer and Waterproofing products. 60/90 Bitumen is applicable for the production of hot mix asphalt for bases and pavements and for road construction and also for making some bitumen emulsion, cutback bitumen and modified bitumen grades as well.
